Fujifilm FinePix A350

The FinePix A350 is the flagship model for Fujifilm's A series of inexpensive point-and-shoot cameras. Its 5.2-megapixel resolution marks an increase over the 4 megapixels of its predecessor, the A340, and this camera slightly bumps up the LCD size from 1.5 inches to 1.7 inches. It also eliminates the need for a lens cap by incorporating a self-closing cover for its retractable lens. Other A350 features include a 3X optical zoom, a macro mode, and a continuous-shooting mode. Fujifilm often goes its own way in the physical design, menu structure, and image characteristics of its cameras.

Fujifilm FinePix A350

"With the FinePix A350, 6 image quality settings are offered, and all combine the image size to a compression level that cannot be modified by the user. Moreover, only the 5M Fine setting offers a relatively low JPEG compression. All other image sizes use a compression level that is best described as an average level
...
The FinePix A350 benefits from Fujifilm's excellent and very reliable multi-segment metering, though sometimes the photos may not appear to be bright and well exposed on the monitor.

But, when the images are transferred to a computer and seen on a monitor, or even when they are printed directly, the quality of the exposure is usually revealed to be quite good."
