The concept of ft / lb miles, or how to travel light. Many years ago I was traveling alone across Europe, Central and South America. I was very lucky to know that sometimes "less is more" at such an early age. I traveled with a Minolta 35 mm camera and a small number of targets with a dozen hand-recorder tapes 90 minutes.
The camera and weighed about 6 or 7 pounds and cassettes and weighed at least equally. After the implementation of these elements on foot and hitchhiked to the coast of Peru, about 100 miles, I realized that is 15,000 ft / lb Miles broke!
If you take £ 1 a mile to walk, you ft / lb equals miles. I brought my camera and cassette player to walk thousands of miles. I brought my camera to the top of Machu Pichu in Peru and on top of the mountain overlooking the ruins. Today was my idea to consider, and you will see that less is more when theStreet, while looking for some serious soul and hard journey
I realized that I was carrying too much weight on foot, by bus, ship, truck or donkey, so I knew something had to go. I could not give up my cameras or music that my concept of "artist on the road" compromise so I have all my clothes except for what I was wearing shorts and a T-shirt to wear and replacement, if I wash my street clothes.
I forgot to ad that I also wore a beautiful guitar that I hadpurchased in Spain, most of the time I traveled in South America. Last year, during a trip to Costa Rica, I was wearing an MP3 player with thousands of songs, a nice little digital camera that weighs less than a pound and can contain hundreds of photos. All this in an inconspicuous backpack.
