DSLR Lenses and their abbreviations

For those of you who know what these abbreviations, I have compiled a list of terms used for what it is and, of course, what really does it for you or avoid.

Abbreviations General.

Before getting to the nitty gritty of why they are all different, we see the similarities. There are three common terms to describe her slow and easy to understand and apply only the most creative and performanceFunctions.

Focal length: - The scope of the scene captured Example 16 - A 35mm lens, which covers an area of 16mm (relatively wide) to 35 mm zoom ..

Maximum aperture: - The maximum rate at which the lens can let in light. eg f3.5 or 2.8 - 5.6

If your goal is just a number, so that as open as possible.

If the lens has two numbers, then as open as possible depending on the focal lengththe lens is in focus.

The lower the number the larger the aperture and the fastest in the light. (See my forthcoming article on the law of reciprocity)
