Pentax K-5 Review

Pentax K-5 is the second DSLR camera from Pentax in 2010, inherited control of K-7 and enter the new sensor 16.3 megapixel APS-C. Pentax K-5 offers a remarkable range of ISO is the ISO 80-51200 plus the ability to record Full HD 1080p, 7fps burst shooting and high-resolution LCD screen.

Features
Pentax K-5 is a semi-professional camera-based new body design similar to the older K series (K-7) with the new 16.3 megapixel image sensor the same as the Nikon and Sony D7000 A55. New features of the Pentax K-5 include a very high ISO range (ISO 80-51200), Full HD 1080p video with 25fps, 7fps continuous shooting, upgraded 11-point SAFOX IX + AF system with wider coverage and speed faster, increase the High Dynamic range mode, and various built-in digital filter effects. K-5 K-7 inherited a body that resists weather-resistant construction dust and cold resistant, designed for 100,000 shutter release, shutter speed of 1/8000th reach, optical viewfinder with 100% frame coverage and 0.92x magnification, 77-meter-segment matrix, 3-inch LCD monitor with 920k pixels, built-in dust removal and a shake-reduction systems, Live View with Face Recognition AF and automatic compensation for lens distortion and lateral chromatic aberrations with the DA and DFA lenses.

Shake Reduction
Pentax K-5 has a Shake Reduction mechanism in the camera body which allows us to take sharp photos at slower shutter speeds.

High dynamic range

Pentax K-5 HDR Capture option (only available for JPEG files) to take three pictures with different exposures and then combine the good parts of each image.

Custom Image
Pentax's Custom Image, similar to Nikon and Canon's Picture Styles Picture Controls, is a preset combination of sharpness, contrast, saturation and color settings are different. You can change the saturation, hue, contrast, sharpness and low for each of the options.

Digital filter
Pentax K-5 offers seven different Digital Filter which allows you to quickly apply artistic effects to images (JPEG).

Multi ExposurePentax K-5 has a multi-exposure mode that allows you to combine 2-9 different JPEG or RAW images into one.
